Technical Recruiter at Databricks

Mission

We're looking for a passionate technical recruiter to help us recruit and hire best and the brightest talent in the Valley who want to make an impact on technology. The right candidate is able to successfully manage, prioritize and close searches against a timeline. This recruiter will be using data to set benchmarks and metrics to create targeted recruiting strategies, and partner with engineering and customer sales leadership to build high performing teams that embody Databricks’ values and culture. Our hire would thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, have fun, and get the job done.

Outcomes

  • Collaborate with teams and hiring managers to deeply understand hiring needs
  • Partner with hiring teams to execute and build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment
  • Must be able to understand how to recruit passive candidates at all levels and develop sophisticated closing strategies that seek for matching fit and motivation rather than focusing on selling alone
  • Develop unique full cycle hiring strategies and interview criteria for each role
  • Source qualified candidates, review resumes, and pre-screen candidates while moving interview process forward in a timely manner
  • Organize and facilitate interview debriefs
  • Drive offer approval, extension and negotiation
  • Identify closing strategies for offers and proactively provide candidates with the right information to help make their decision as easy as possible
  • Partner effectively with the Onboarding team to create a smooth transition from accepting an offer to their first day on the job
  • Manage multiple requisitions and hiring managers
  • Work with the Recruiting team to providing positive and exceptional interview experiences for all parties

Competencies

  • At least 3 years of sourcing and full-cycle recruiting for Internet or start-up companies.
  • Experience in tech startups, and demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a low structure, fast-paced environment in a flexible manner
  • Relentless passion and drive to find and connect with the best talent
  • Proven experience in building and managing a diverse pipeline
  • Ability to qualify a candidate and understand what each candidate brings to the table, and then connect that candidate with the right opportunity at Databricks
  • Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people of all levels
  • Exceptional teamwork and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through
  • A positive attitude and thrive working in a collaborative team environment
  • Approachable, and calm even during chaos
  • Successful experience in leading a team, or exhibiting leadership and mentorship skills
  • Proficient with Google Calendar, Apps and/or MSFT Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • BS/BA degree
