Marketing Manager, DACH at Nginx

NGINX, International Limited is searching for a Marketing Manager, DACH, to join our growing international marketing team and work from Ireland (EMEA HQ in Cork) or remotely in Germany (preferably located in Munich or Berlin). The Marketing Manager, DACH, will be the marketing leader for the German, Austria, and Switzerland area within the EMEA business, and manage the regional marketing plan to help sales deliver the forecast.

This role forms a key function in our larger marketing team, and will be responsible for lead generation through brand awareness, content localisation, digital, social media, communications, events, etc. This function serves as the primary point of contact for sales and corporate teams to gain visibility into DACH marketing plans and results. In addition, this person will work with teams across all routes-to-market (channel and direct) to define where the marketing budget will be spent and help build a top down regional marketing plan.

Build awareness for NGINX’s products and solutions by planning and executing a field demand generation strategy and creating localized assets that drive revenue through the creation of quality leads

Plan, develop, and communicate the EMEA marketing strategy by working with key stakeholders across different functions (sales, product marketing, marketing) to define regional marketing goals, objectives, and forecasts that align to corporate and sales goals

Working with the EMEA marketing team and sales leaders to own and lead the planning process by building and executing a plan that meets our revenue targets

Adapt global messaging to provide the content required to execute the regional marketing plan, while also maintaining and increasing corporate brand identity

Monitor and report on campaign performance and share best practices with the wider team

Work closely with marketing functions to aggregate, plan, monitor, and report on the regional marketing plan; including, lead flow, pipeline/revenue generation, and deal close ratios for the EMEA region

Partner with regional sales leaders to monitor execution against the regional marketing plan, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and market conditions

Work closely with all regional and international marketing functions to ensure visibility and input into centralised global programs and budgets

Monitor, adjust, and track expense budgets to ensure investment decisions are maximizing ROI



BA or BS degree in marketing- or business-related field

Fluent in English and German. Other European language would be beneficial

4+ years marketing experience in a regional marketing manager role. Experience in software or information technology is an advantage

Proven track record of managing successful campaigns across a region, including taking a global marketing strategy and localising the activities

Demonstrated understanding and extensive experience with integrated marketing strategies and practices, including measurements across campaigns, digital, events, partner, PR, and field

Experience partnering and engaging with the sales team to optimize lead workflow, ensuring the delivery of highly qualified leads and seamless interactions with those prospects

Expertise using marketing automation and CRM systems to manage marketing programs (Marketo and SFDC preferred)

Team player willing to work in cross-functional sales and marketing teams

Able to work independently, representing marketing in the field to the sales organisation

Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with proven leadership abilities

Results driven and capable of working independently

Ability to work as part of a virtual team

Knowledge of channel and software industry is a distinct advantage

Solid written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
