Sales Manager, GumGum Sports at GumGum

With Sports viewership shifting - teams, broadcasters and leagues and their sponsors are struggling to measure the multi-channel media value they are creating. GumGum Sports is at the cutting edge of solving this problem for the $60B sponsorship industry. GumGumSports seeks an enthusiastic & results driven Sales Manager to create revenue for GumGum Sports.    

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving revenue and new business from Brands, Rights Holders and/or strategic partners
  • Expectation to generate a high volume of sales related activity including cold calling, presentations, RFP’s, and more
  • Provide market insight into the Sponsorship ecosystem and what the biggest pain points are for brands, agencies, and rights holders/venues.
  • Demonstrate the value of GumGum Sports to prospects and quickly understand how our platform can help alleviate their biggest pain point.
  • Cultivate relationships with brands, rights holders/venues and clients to gain deep insight into their business and ultimately provide solutions for their Sponsorship management and ROI goals
  • Provide feedback to the company on how to best service clients’ needs
  • Identify and qualify opportunities from marketing driven leads

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience buying and/or selling multi-million dollar sponsorships (or sponsorship valuation/consulting) on behalf of fortune 500 B2C companies (e.g. AMEX, Pepsi) or top tier rights holders or properties (e.g. NFL, NBA, Nascar)
  • Must have strong list of brand, agency, and property rights/venues contacts in addition to other assignments in the region
  • Must possess superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a highly motivated team player
  • PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills a must. Knowledge in Salesforce preferred
  • You are flexible and have the ability to adjust quickly to changing demands or strategies
  • You have a sense of urgency in everything you do
  • You are comfortable traveling up to 30-40% of the time
  • Experience with SaaS companies is strongly preferred
  • Proven customer-facing skills
  • Formal sales training preferred
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to figure out how things should work, and to identify patterns and trends
  • Excellent relationship building skills within all levels of organizations up to and including C-suite
