The number of new clients and members we support is set to grow exponentially over the next few years. As a backend engineer on the Membership Platform team, you'll build resilient and flexible backend systems to scale our ability to onboard new companies and members onto our platform.
As an engineering team, we believe good code is easy to read and understand. We expect all of our engineers to continually teach as well as learn. What you’ll do:
Design a scalable and resilient member data import pipeline to be able to handle exponential member growth with confidence
Contribute to a microservices backend that runs our health benefits product
Design data models and workflows to store and use complex and highly configurable healthcare data

You have experience with Java or another object-oriented language
You have a track record of developing well-tested software that relies on robots and continuous integration, not humans, to validate builds
Prior experience working in high security environments — e.g., payments — is a plus
Previous startup experience is a plus
