The Evernote Design team is the creative force responsible for producing a seamless and delightful user experience, from sign-up to creating the thousandth note. We work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define and deliver product experiences that enhance people’s lives at work and at play.
As a Product Designer on the Growth Experiments team, you will work closely with an incredible team of designers, writers, developers, product managers, and analysts to produce a wide range of strategic tactics for getting people more engaged with Evernote. You will create memorable educational experiences, refine the UX of key features and flows, and build amazing onboarding experiences. You will design and execute tons of growth experiments, and you will move numbers.
For this particular role we are looking for someone with a strong content background. Growth experiments are as much about psychology and language as they are about traditional product design. If you happen to be one of those rare birds who has a passion for both writing and design, we’d love to meet you.
What you'll do
Be the voice that always puts the user first. Constantly look for ways that we can accomplish business objectives through experiences that are delightful and meaningful for real people.
Define and execute experiment designs including flowcharts, prototypes, UI mockups, technical specs, and production assets.
Write production ready copy.
Translate quantitative data and qualitative insights into innovative ideas and better design decisions.
Drive a high level of visual fidelity across products.
Provide and solicit actionable feedback to move designs forward.
Balance a large volume of design initiatives at high velocity and keep your head straight.
Be adaptable. You will be working to define requirements while simultaneously designing for those requirements.

Requirements and Skills
Have a growth mindset. This role requires you to learn quickly and recognize on a deep level that everything is changeable, everything can be better.
Be articulate. Be able to formulate and present a point of view that supports your design decisions. There’s a lot of arguing on the growth team (we call it discussion) and you can’t be afraid of that.
Experience designing engaging user experiences for web and native apps.
A strong sense of visual/UI design and typography.
Proficiency in user-centered design thinking methodologies and rapid iterative experimentation.
Ability to prototype designs in lo- and hi-fidelity, and know when to do which.
Proven track-record for shipping high quality experiences.
Eagerness to take initiative and ownership of projects.
A portfolio featuring examples of web and native product design.
2+ years of relevant product experience.
B.A./B.S. in design, HCI, or equivalent experience.
Be a ninja. We’re not just being cute here. To succeed in this role you must be quick, clever, resourceful, nimble, focused, and above all, 100% committed to the mission.
