Senior Infrastructure Engineer at IFTTT
San Francisco, CA, US

As trusted platform for information exchange operating at massive scale, IFTTT needs stable, high-performing, secure, and resilient infrastructure. We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. Build and scale the operational infrastructure that creates trusted, reliable and exceptional product experiences on IFTTT. You will be a key stakeholder who drives how IFTTT protects user data, and how we support our service customers at scale. Work closely with engineering leadership and contribute to critical product and business decisions. Help us build a truly connected internet where everything can work together.


What you will do:

  • Build stable and progressive infrastructure to support our evolving production services at massive scale
  • Build systems that allow product teams to launch features quickly and reliably
  • Improve internal ownership of production code through monitoring and alerting
  • Design and implement systems that improve our incident handling process
  • Create appropriate processes and controls to protect user and customer data
  • Build real-time metrics collection, logging, aggregation, and reporting pipelines
  • Support and collaborate with our product teams to make decisions that affect scale, data security and user experience

What we are looking for:

  • Prior large-scale utilization of AWS across a breadth of services such as EC2 Spot, S3, Kinesis, RDS, RedShift, and more
  • Production experience with Docker, Mesos, Chef, Kubernetes, or similartechnologies
  • Production knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, and monitoring tools like New Relic, InfluxDB, Nessus
  • Comfortable learning or prior experience programming in Ruby, Python, or Go
  • Familiarity with information security best practices, including penetration testing, white/black hat hacking, and remediation planning
  • Positive and candid communicator and collaborator
